Jesus always connected with His hearers: when He spoke, especially when He used parables and analogies and referred to common customs and objects, people understood perfectly what He was saying, even though they often missed where He was going with it. 

There are not many mysteries in the Bible, yet today it is often viewed as a shadowy book full of elusive messages and lots of unnecessary information, whose meanings are often assumed or spiritualized. But to the people of Bible times, when it was read even an illiterate peasant understood it.

BDM is dedicated to bringing the Bible to life the same way that made it so easily understood by those who lived in its day. The interactive Biblical Dinners and Galilean Weddings, books, lectures, presentations and sermons of BDM are designed to immerse participants into the culture and thinking of a people who lived thousands of years ago in a mysterious part of the world. 

BDM provides a new lens to see an ancient world; a different mind to understand a forgotten way of thinking about the messages of the Bible—their way of thinking. Most importantly, Biblical doctrine remains unchanged yet thoroughly enriched, seen in a new and life-altering light.

BDM's great emphasis is the revelation of God's message of reconciliation with Himself and with others as it was understood through the eyes, ears and minds of those who heard Him speak.
